Resource box format

25 September 2008 No Comment

I’ve learned a few things over the past 10 months in my internet marketing career.  It still feels weird to say that, but if I’m going to be serious about internet marketing, then I need to treat it as a career and not a hobby.  I thought for my 100th post, I’d share the following with you.

One of the most important lessons that I’ve learned, has to do with the resource box on my articles.

Do you know what the resource box is?

It’s that box at the bottom of the article where you put your name, your url, your call to action and whatever else you want to say at the end of an article.

I’ve learned that although my resource boxes are getting better, they are still weak.  I’m not pulling nearly as much traffic as I should from my articles, and I think I’ve figured out why.

I had the chance to ask Chris Knight about resource boxes, and he provided me with this nugget:

Article Marketing 101: The Perfect Author Resource Box

This is the winner you should test:

A Free Report: This could also be part of your call to action or your free bonus report that further enhances your credibility as the expert on the topic of your article.

That article marketing 101 is a great resource.  I thought about holding off and posting about it as my free tool of the week for next week, but I have other really great resources to share and so I didn’t want this one to get lost in the shuffle, so to speak.

Take the time to read that article marketing 101 article, it will be well worth your time.

Cheers,

Rafael
