Photoshop tutorials
This post has nothing to do with Social Media. I just wanted to share a couple of things with y’all.
These last few weeks, I’ve been getting more and more into Photoshop. Not just for the potential to muck around and put people’s faces on animals etc. but for the real potential to make images pop.
If you’ve been following my stream, you may have noticed that one of my pictures got picked to be in a guidebook about the City of Austin. I’m totally stoked about that. I don’t even care that I’m not getting any money for it. I’m just stoked that someone liked one of my pictures enough to put it in a guidebook.
My Photoshop thing has gotten to the point where I recently added a section of links pointing to various tutorials in my blogroll. My favorite of all those links, for the record, is “You suck at Photoshop.” I like that for the humor, but it really helped me open my eyes to the potential.
I also added some links in the blogroll to Gimp, which is a free photoeditor. It has a lot of the same features that Photoshop has, only it’s free. Well, it has a lot of the features, but not all of them. It also doesn’t execute them the same way, but, if you have nothing, why not get started with a program that costs you nothing?
Check the blogroll for some sites for learning Photoshop, or follow here to learn about 50 Photoshop techniques.
Enjoy!
