Today’s slideshare presenation is brought to you courtesy of Hubspot. They’re an inbound marketing firm based out of Boston, MA. I’m not selling anything from them, but I am working on my Hubspot inbound marketing certification.
Why am I working on a certification from Hubspot?
Because I like a lot of the things that they do as a company when it comes to inbound marketing.
Although I don’t entirely agree with everything that they point out in this slide presentation, I do think that there’s value in the thoughts expressed.
I agree with Hubspot and Gary Vaynerchuk in that the trend today is towards people buying from people/companies that they already have a relationship with, but I’m not entirely convinced that this is strictly a new/ social media phenomena. I’m also not entirely convinced that Facebook is your friend, but as I like to say “your mileage may vary.”
I think that people have always bought from people they know, like and trust. It’s just that now they know, like and trust a lot more people.
